Rangan’s mission is to help people feel fantastic by restoring them to optimal health, without unnecessary drugs.
He worked as a general practice doctor for 16 years and realised that he was only helping about 20% of his patients. He began to believe that the way we practise medicine is flawed.
When his six-month-old son became ill from a preventable vitamin deficiency, he had to find a whole new way, to take care of his family and his patients. Rangan set out get to the bottom of what makes us ill and keeps us healthy.
He spent years training with different kinds of experts and clinicians in the world of functional medicine, nutrition, sleep, immunology, exercise physiology and movement kinetics, as well as studying areas of new research that were foreign to conventional medicine.
As well as working as an NHS GP, Dr.Chatterjee sees patients privately in Manchester, England.
His integrative medical approach combines the best of nutritional science, conventional medicine and advanced diagnostics to find the root cause of illness.
He investigates and treats a broad range of conditions including diabetes, skin problems, irritable bowel syndrome, obesity, stress management, insomnia, autoimmune conditions, digestive problems as well as food intolerances.
He also has a passion for preventive medicine and optimising one’s health span.
He has a keen interest in the health of the gut microbiome, and his BSc Honours Degree in Immunology helps him navigate this complex and exciting new field.
